How make partitions in your Hard Disk ?

TOPIC : Making the partitions in your Hard Disk.

Hard Disk : -

                 Hard Disk is called as secondary storage media in computer. Hard Disk is used to to store data in any file format. Data in hard disk is stored permanently and we can perform the operations on this data as delete , new, update,search. hard disk can also store the Operating system which start first when we make power on the computer.

Lets see how to make partitions in it.

The hard disk can be partitioned in any size called as drives like C drive , D drive , E drive , etc.

Firstly when you install the operating system there is only one drive created that is Drive C.

So we have to make partitions from this Drive For Some Movies and Educational Data and many more.

Step 1)  Go to start menu and search "run"  or simply press start + R. The Run dialogue box appear. Enter the command diskmgmt.msc  And hit enter. Disk Management box will appear.

Step 2 ); After that right click on C drive and select shrink Volume option.

   Here Enter The Size That you want to Divide From Drive C And Click On Shrink. You will see the size is divided. And volume is created With name E.

So in this way we can divide hard disk into multiple drives.

Now How to attach/ merge two drives to make it single one.

 step 1 )   now again go to disk management by running command diskmgmt.msc 

Step 2) Right click on the drive that you have to attach and click on delete partitions.

step 3 ) then it will freed up the space but it is not deallocated  so again right click on it & click delete partitions.

step 4 )  Select other drive that you have to extend and right click on it and select extend volume.

step 5)  Enter the amount to that we freed earlier and click next.

In this way we can merge the two partitions to make it one .
